Is It Time to Buy?
Maybe, (in NYC area) but I would rather gamble and wait until mid-fall. A few more (e.g. Emigrant Savings) banks and mortgage business will probably sink by November - December, then is when the NYC market will probably hit bottom. If not then, maybe by early 2009.
If'n yer looking at other parts of the U.S. I would say late September to early October. I hear prices are good in southwestern Missouri and Oklahoma.
