If Obama is elected (and remember this is the same country that sent W up twice) I would have preferred to see Biden at State, but overall I think he's a good choice for vice. Probably one of te smartest guys in the Senate and can be pretty tough. I actually believe Biden would have been the choice for the Oval and supported his campaign.
Most people couldn't tell you one
thing about him. I just remember seeing his face a lot at the Thomas hearings.
Delaware? How is that going to help him? This election is for the Democrats to lose....and they could have won it. I think Karl Rove pulled a sly maneuver by convincing the Democratic base that Obama could beat McCain, when all the Republicans were really nerouvs about Hillary....
Very good choice with great balance to Obama. WIth Vockler on Obama's staff - I think Obama is using his head wisely and could start with a staff as good as Regean's 1st year in office.
Strictly from an India’s perspective we couldn’t have asked for a much better running mate to Obama. Joe Biden happens to be instrumental in piloting the US-India nuclear deal through congress and initiated the recent eclipse of the military rule in Pakistan. Most Indian-origin Americans in Delaware are considered to be a strong supporter of Biden after witnessing a strong growth in their businesses related to motels, liquor stores and gas stations.
Indian media believes that both Obama-Biden have a pro Indian outlook and if they win, this will be the most pro-Indian US Government. I expect the Indian subcontinent region (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan) will get greater attention after his win.
Given that Biden is an admitted Zionist and McCain is anxious to "bomb, bomb, bomb - bomb, bomb Iran", it makes little difference who wins in November. The United States will be fighting wars on behalf of Israel for the next four years regardless.
While I'm personally okay with Biden, I think Obama could have made a choice that would have helped his ticket more. The pick adds to my impression of him as a leader but it also adds to my concerns about his judgment. McCain is still the underdog, though. He'll need to choose his running mate wisely to win.
A lightweight picked by an empty suit.
