Fourth of July - Stock Market Closed on Independence Day
Wall Street Greek wishes the nation a happy Independence Day holiday this 4th of July. The stock market is closed for the three-day weekend celebrating our nation's independence. The Fourth is The Greek's favorite non-religious holiday, because I happen to be a patriotic American. I bet you did not know that yours truly can sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic, the Marines' Hymn, the Army Goes Rolling Along and of course God Bless America.
It's true that before I embraced my ancestral origin of Greece, I embraced the nation of my birth and the ideology that the United States of America stands for. I continue to demand that we uphold those truths that are self-evident, and that we defend the cause of freedom wherever the oppressed require our strength and assistance. This is our duty to humanity and our Lord. And to those who would prefer the United States sit on the sidelines while others suffer at the hands of dictators and oppressors, I say stand back and let us do our work.
God bless America! The home of the brave and the land of the free! Be proud of your country and stay true to its mantra.
